Gas burners with yellow blue and yellow flame

I have noticed that both gas hobs seem to be burning with slight yellow flecks in the normally blue flame. I have changed the regulator and hose and ensured there are no leaks. The burners seem to work fine and the flames are as strong as they always have been.

Maybe the next stage is to try and prick the burner outlets. Any suggestions or ideas? Is there a special tool needed?

Thanks, Ian

Good question! I am pretty sure it was there before. Are you thinking the regulator could be faulty?

Cold weather, cold gas bottle, lower pressure, smaller flame with yellow tip.
Two days ago it took forever to boil a kettle the flame was so small. It will get better when things warm up.

Theres another thread on here but the other way around, where the flames are too big.
But please do not resurrect it.

I was going to suggest cold weather/cold Gaz cylinder but @Herman beat me to it!

Perhaps bring the bottle inside and leave it in your warmest room for 24 hours then go straight back to the Cali with it and see if it is any different?
