Yellow 'button' on gas regulator valve

You are correct, I hadn’t realised that the PRV was on the outlet side.

Thinking further, the suggestions to replace the regulator with a “normal” bbq one could be dangerous as they don’t have the prv. In the case of the regulator failing in this way without a PRV you could end up with very tall flames at the burners, dangerous on an external bbq but could be a lot more serious in the confined space of a van.
I use this + a quick release in the gas line.
The Regulator fails safe, ie: cuts off gas if over pressured, rather than leaking excess pressure.

Did you manage to resolve this ?
I swapped a cylinder the other day and it’s now leaking slightly at the yellow ‘button’ valve, so assume it’s either a faulty regulator or the cylinder is over pressured. Would be odd for a three year old regulator to fail just as I swapped a cylinder.

Yes. I ordered a new regulator from the shop and it’s fine again.
