Gas installation in Grand California; conformity with EN1914

Interesting one this. Took my GC to Titan motorhomes and Caravans in Waterlooville to have a Gaslow refillable cyclinder fitted yesterday. Owner, Stepehen, nearly did a freak out when he saw the gas pipework. In his opinion it was totally non compliant with EN1949 with regards to proximity to electrical wiring, lack of "drop outs" adjacent to joins and lack of conduiting around electrical work. In his opinion the system needed complete re-routing, watertank out, fridge out and drop outs drilled. He declined to fit the cyclinders and stated that in reality he should cap off this dangerous system to make it non operational. To say I was a little surprised would be a mild understatement!!
I have done a little digging around and , needless to say, this opinion on a factory, EU, manufactured product is probably incorrect. So, to save any aggro I suggest that if you want work done on a GC (and probably californias) the Titan Motorhomes in Waterlooville is best avoided!
