Hi.
Has anyone had the issue of the rear skylight holding water between the skins of the Perspex? After 4 year of having my GC 600 from new we have never experienced any condensation or water between the two skins of the Perspex in the sky lights until last week where it had a fair bit of water in it and even when opened fully it is not draining out. There are no cracks or delamination that I can see. It is now going to be rectified on VW Warranty, however, VW will not just change the Perspex they will only replace the full unit which means a strip down of the rear headlining and maybe the shower room to get the headlining out which for me is just crazy when the Perspex can be changed. Has anyone come across water in the skylights??

If you are brave enough (or outside the warranty) , on the inside of the perspex, drill a v small 1mm hole near the edge - or where it cannot be seen. That might release some of the water. This was a trick to get water out of a headlight casing. Applying heat with a hair dryer (not too hot) will help evaporate it out. The water in there is too much to evaporate.
Still - begs the question - if meant to be sealed - how water is getting in?
That could be a hair line crack.or even where the two bits of perspex is joined.
Any or all of this i would be doing by taking the perspex out leaving the frame in.
