Has anyone had a problem purchasing extended warranty in the uk

You can only purchase an extended factory warranty within the first 3 months of a new vehicle. The alternative is the “all in” which is available when your vehicle is 3 years old.
Gives you 2 services, 2 MOT’s and up to 2 years warranty along with roadside assistance.

Hi my van is coming up to 3 years old I’ve just had a quote for an additional years warranty. It’s a discounted price if it’s done at the point the factory warranty runs out. I phoned them and they confirmed that the camper part of the van is included.

Question relating to extended warranty to those who have purchased this. What documentation did you receive confirming the extended warranty from VW?
I ask as I have paid for this on a MAN TGE but not had anything in writing to confirm except a receipt for payment which included payment for another item and not itemised.

Should also be logged in the VW database so if used the dealer can access the policy to confirm coverage.

Yes logically it will but I'm thinking of the day that I come to sell the vehicle I should have something to confirm to a new owner that it is covered.

They (VW) are very strict on the 3 months from 1st registration time limit.

It’s an extension of the full factory warranty only, does not include servicing etc

You only get VW Assistance for the original 3 yrs. No cover for years 4 & 5. It has to be renewed personally , about £160 for 2 yrs.

I was meaning in terms of cost, does the ‘all in’ workout cheaper than the extended factory option if it also includes Vw assist and the servicing and mot. I’m also not sure if the all in warranty covers at the same level as the extended factory warranty.
