Glass lid on Sink has come out - T6 split lid, advice please!

The glass lid on over the sink on my T6 Ocean has separated from its aluminium hinge, so you can simply pull on the glass lid and it lifts away from the hinge. There has always been a lot of play on this section of the split lid, some I'm wondering if it was missing part of the seal /fixing from the start. Has anyone else had this issue? What's the best way of re-securing the lid to its hinge?

That happened on mine with the fridge,
They replaced it with a new lid under warranty.

If you are out of warranty you could easy fix it yourself, remove
the ram/piston and get some appropriate glue, leave the hinges in place, run
the glue in the groove wipe off the excess and close the lid until it's dry.
