Gotta love the Trangia!

I also carry my Trangia stove which I had for my 16th Birthday (that's over 40 years ago). Only upgrade was replacing the meths burner with a gas burner. I use the pots and kettles all the time inside the van (no handles, easy storage) and cook smelly food outside. - For me an essential bit of kit !

OK I admit that this was not cooked in or near the van but I used the Trangia which we keep in the van for emergency use or for cooking outside. When in France a few weeks ago I had a go at high temperature steak cooking……. Simply fire up the Trangia at max chat then dry fry a Ribeye for two minutes a side then chuck in a little butter near the end of cooking…… sublime! As Mrs Chox is away (haha, see what I did there?) I fancied rerunning the fun. :D

And all the spitting fat and smells stay outside :thumb
