I have just swapped our cali beach and swift Basecamp for an Etrusco integrated motorhome, 3650kg, 7.5 m long, 3 m tall and 2.3m wide, we now have so much room

I had to Google that after you mentioned it previously, wow what a lot of van for the money!

I know, it's part of the hymer group, 7 year warranty, why spend more.....the 9 speed auto is amazing, and it does 30+ mpg and it hasn't loosened up yet
 
I thought the Hymer is 4.1 where the grand is 3.88.
I think both vehicles can be uprated with no physical changes.
Standard vehicle is registered with DVLA at 3500 kg, paid option to upgrade.
Most European vans are 3500kg to stay within licencing and tax regulations.
MLT 4x4 with all terrain tyres are also restricted to 120kph
 
There is a tax dodge, up to 3500Kg road tax is £300 ish, over 3500Kg road tax is £165. However over 3500Kg requires a C1 licence entitlement which is not included on new car licences. C1 is usually removed by DVLA when you reach 70 unless you request to keep it. I have a C licence so not an issue.
