Have been saving the pennies up over the past year to get the van professionally detailed then have a ceramic coating applied. This was carried out by Graham and his team at Azuri Car Care. The process involved:

•Full snow foam and hand wash
•Wheels off and cleaned
•Vehicle dried
•Clay bar decontamination
•Two stage polish to correct and improve the paintwork better than when it left the factory
•Cleaned inside, Gtechniq leather guard applied
•Gtechniq Serum Ultra ceramic coating applied
•2 coats of Gtechniq EXO V4 added for extra gloss and hydrophobic
•PPF applied to rear part of bumper to protect from marking when loading and unloading

Gtechniq Serum Ultra is a professional only application that can only be carried out by accredited professionals. Gives a 9/10 year guarantee
picking it up tomorrow so 4 days in all. The whole team have been amazing and I’ve never met people so passionate about car care. Can’t wait to get it tomorrow as the pictures they’ve sent look amazing.

Not cheap, but £875+VAT which to be honest was one of the better quotes for this level of ceramic. Most only last a couple of years
Thanks. That’s actually better value for money than I expected, great find. Thanks for sharing.

Very smart! Did they do the calipers?

Wow. That looks Ace.

I've got a black one too, always a challenge to keep them looking good.

I had the Tesla done in th efirst few weeks - the real revelation is when you only need to spend about 30 mins washing (snow foam, 2 bucket of course) and it comes up looking better than when you spend half a day polishing!

Looks very nice but at the end of the day it is just a very expensive thin layer of polish that will wear off in time.

Yeah I like the stuff. Mines booked in with my local specialist.

Looks great. I got mine done in Aberdeenshire last year when I got it and as you say it’s better finish that factory supplied. So much easier to clean after ceramic coated.
Off topic - where did you get the wheels and what are the sizes? They look great also

Hi Richard,
One year on, how would you rate the effectiveness of this?
Thanks

Tesla has been coated over a year now and still beads up beautifully with a simple 30 minute wash, littel or no elbow grease required

Where’s best to find oneself a reliable well established establishment to get a new California treated ?

There are not that many about.

To find mine I just visited some of the very nerdy car sites and read their forums.

Any good one will want the vehicle at least overnight.

A quick visit and chat to the owner and I was very confident.

Mine was done in Weston-Super- Mare

Azuri have been recommended - they use Gtechniq ceramic which seems to be well respected. They have done Californias including interiors and bellows. I’ve been quoted £945+vat including wheels, glass and interior. They need the Cali for 3 days minimum. They also do paint protection film - just deciding whether I ppf the front end as well.https://azuricarcare.co.uk/

Western is only 1 hour 40 away.
I’ll be looking into this, as I see excellent results.

In Weston I used https://systemclenzweston.co.uk

If you call ask for Matt. I’ve not been back since I’ve had mine done only because things got it the way, like moving being busy and Covid.

He had done one other Cali before mine and loves his work.

Mine was done from new, not touched by the dealer. There are all sorts of options and he will guide you through it.

Mention the club and you might get a bit off.
