Hello and thanks in advance for reading this. I have seen lots of problems with heated front seats, but not this one. Our driver's seat overheated because we used a wedge. It has melted our lovely pale grey seat cover! Not the back, just the seat. We could just not use it anymore but it is burned black where the wires are and we wonder if it is dangerous. We use a VW van centre for servicing. Should we ask them for a quote to replace? My OH says they will sell us a new seat! We are not really DIY types but he understands electrics and I could make a new seat cover of sorts........Any advice please?
