Hella Socket - anyone using...

If so can it safely be used when running off hookup and also off grid?

I've got a csl 12v USB charger, it's not Hella though just normal I think in my beach

There isn't a Hella socket in the California, neither of those will fit. (EDIT: *current* California)

You can use a standard cigar lighter USB charger (I choose Anker) but I wouldn't leave it in permanently as you may drain the leisure battery in time.

Previous version had hella sockets next to the 250v socket. Oceans have a standard cigarette type socket.

They fitted hella sockets to pre 2009 calis instead of the 12v cigarette ones now

Also if you leave one of those plugged in would drain the battery?

Should work fine, BUT do not leave plugged in when not in use as will still consume power and can flatten a battery over time. Not a problem if you are on Mains Hookup but NOT when on Leisure Battery ONLY.

Sorry been off looking after our grand daughters for a week and nackered. Yes i use something similar but it has an ON/OFF switch to save running down the battery
