Help with roof

Hi, urgent help required. I can't close my roof. I have tried the manual close method by turning the screw but one side of the roof isn't falling down. What do I do now (I'm in France)

Sorry to hear this, if you have tried the manual method then the best thing to do is call VW Assist

0800 290 112 or 0472 43 52 55

Do you get any error messages? Any noises?

thanks Martin. Looks like it's leaking hydraulic fluid. Van is 5 years old and I don't have vw assist. Will they help? I have called the AA

I doubt if the French equivelant to the AA will have a clue to be honest, at least they can get you towed to a local VW garage, worst case scenario your insurance/breakdown cover should have a provision to book you in to a hotel.

Keep us updated and keep a lookout on this thread in case any one else has any ideas.

Not so good news ,

Where in France are you ?

Where is it leaking oil ?
Is there nothing stuck between the hydrolic pump/strud on the side not coming down?
Don't have my roof open as Cali sits in the garage , but is there no way to unscrew the strud on the side not dropping ? Than try lower the roof manual and drive of or let your Cali be towed away.
Towing with the roof still up is not good!

These threads really annoy me where people come on here for urgent free help and never bother giving us an update that may help others.
