Hello everyone, I'm so pleased to be part of the California Club. I'll be driving my 2019 Ocean home tomorrow and must remember to keep my left foot firmly glued down having previously been used to driving my manual T25 Devon Moonraker, so what a transition! This forum is going to be SO useful to acquaint myself with all I'm going to need to know....Great!

Welcome along, Shrewsbury, nice part of the world. I know Colin from Stained Class, so came to Shrewsbury for many hours at a time !

Have fun. Takes a little while to get used to an auto, but once you do I think you’ll like it.

I wonder how it will compare to moonraker, I think they were pretty good.

Thanks! My first try with the auto went ok, phew! So smoooooth, lovely. My Moonraker is 38 yrs old, she's an an eye-catcher.... you need iron-lady muscles to manoeuvre her though!

Indeed keep that left foot firmly grounded or you’ll be doing ‘headers’ off the windscreen. We were manual car drivers till we got our Cali and decided we couldn’t keep a manual car as the daily changeover kept the confusion going…. now have auto car too lol

Our first venture into campers was a rental from Strathpeffer T25, no power steering, manual, long stick and gears which to me seemed ‘back to front’. I did the driving, husband navigator. A hill start on a bend was enough to prepare me for anything a Cali could throw at you …. lol
Love our T6 x
