Did you at least read the manual? That states 1990 minimum for versions with a fixed roof. And there are no such images in it as on the web.
Data from brochures. You know can trust that, right? ;D

Interesting. But look at these drawings from the T5 and T6 brochures. In particular look at the Datum points used for the Vehicle Height measurements.

Sp0_0k maybe you didn't read my post before. I did measure it at 1990mm.

Welsh gas I'd seen the VW brochure T6 pics before which say 1990mm for the beach also and the line appears to point to below the highest point which made me nervous that it wouldn't fit in my work car park.

We did that this winter.....we were ducking inside the van as we went under signs...scary. I was just imagining if one of the sights had come loose......CRASH...as it scrapes my lovely roof

Well not on mine it doesn't. It looks as if it should but as I've said above, the roof is in fact concave, the middle higher than the sides. Mine tops out at 1997mm.

No, it is lower than the roof.

If you have a fiamma awning it does add a tiny bit of height but not anything significant.
