How much for VW to change a wheel bearing

Van just been in for brakes and ANOTHER spring at a trusted independent. He says it is a special tool for removing the rear wheel bearing. Its not gone but the slight noise annoys me. How much do VW generally charge to change one? Many thanks.

I used to work in a Austin/Morris garage many, many years ago. We used to charge a couple of bob for wheel bearings. Mind you we never actualy replaced the bearings, only re-pack with fresh grease. Hope this helps.
