How to repair a stone chip gone rusty?

My Cali got a stone chip on the side and I stupidly left it too long and when the cracked paint came away it has exposed a 1 pence size rusty area.

Does any have advice on how I can repair it or would I be better to take it to a body shop?

Also where can you buy paint?

I got Chipsaway out to my previous car to do a stone chip and was told that we don't do that, only spray complete panel or to a body line. Bit of trades description error I thought (abridged version) as he departed.

Maybe try to find an independent mobile car paint repairer not a franchised outfit who won’t be able to think outside the box. Our local one did a stunning job on my old Dark Wood T5 and then agreed to spray the roof spoiler I’d bought.
