Hello everyone, I’m new to this forum and I like the idea of the side by side rails, please excuse my ignorance but I’ve never heard of big ted, please can you enlighten me, cheers Sharon

I looked at bigted' and the german version too. Won't they leave a dent with time on the fabric of the roof/upstairs bed if left in place with the bed down and/or pop top closed ?

Hi All,

Just a couple of considerations with using the brackets kit for the Ikea rail.

1 - Remove before driving - if you had an accident you would not want potentially dangerous rails and fitting being thrown around the cabin.

2 - don't overload - the brackets I make are only meant for light weight applications. They are solid ABS plastic but there are limitations.

Hi Leo,

I've tested with a max 2kg. That's more than enough for the bits and bobs I tend to put on it.
