No, third party units will give more functionality & all functions such as carplay will work with no issues. You dont need to touch the unit at all, it can all be done via voice without even looking at the screen.

Our Pro system has frozen on occasion, plus the Google maps pixelation issue of course - now fixed. But Car Play also freezes / goes black in our Volvo also. Just happy we’re not flying to the moon using Car Play to deploy our solar panels.

My pro has never crashed, or needed a new battery.

No it’s not a major issue. There’s a few threads on here so it’s certainly not all of the but a few
