Instrument panel light levels.

Now here's an issue I hoping you can help with.

I've noticed recently that the illumination levels of the numbers on both the rev counter and speedometer vary between full on bright and nothing. The centre section is unaffected.
Any ideas as to why this occurs would be much appreciated.

There is a barrel switch next to (under) the rotating light switch

the brightness can be controlled by moving the barrel backward and forward

look for it whilst standing outside the cab, at the drivers door, it is on the curving dash panel below the light switch, to the left hand side.

Adjacent to headlight dip beam height adjuster if Halogen headlights. easy to accidentally move it instead of headlights, talking from experience when mine went dim for no apparent reason.
