Hi my insurance for my 2017 Cali DSG is up for renewal with The Caravan and Motorhome club. The price is £555.95 which is around what I paid last year with full no claim bonus.
On Go Compare I got quotes starting at £360 like for like with all the same benefits. Is there any reason not to go for the less expensive option?

Check the small print regarding “ camping “ accidents and cover for camping equipment.

I found the Caravan Club Insurance quote pricey. Went with safeguard for cost and total package.

I (normally) do a total of 3 months per year in France and many Insurers restricted to only one 45 day trip per year. Just check your cover matches what is required. Sometimes in the small print.

Our Caravan Club Insurance quote went up by £220 as they have lost ERS as an underwriter. LV= came in at £190 with PNC.
I'm not overly worried about the camping equipment cover and would probably never claim for small bits as any small claim puts the next renewal up.

Compare the Market have a Motorhome element that you can use for comparisons. I’ve been frustrated that my renewal price has stayed stubbornly high for the past few years probably as I’ve just stayed with the same provider without negotiation and I do have a couple of additions risk factors (commuting, park on road).

Compare the Market gave me a couple of much cheaper Motorhome insurance options that weren’t quite as good coverage wise as my provider but gave me some leverage to negotiate. Got my renewal price down from nearly £900 to £650. Still £150 higher than other companies but a good result as i’m happier with the well known specialist providers.

I have noticed that a few members have insured with LV. I have just received my renewal and got an alternative quote from LV for my 2013 SE DSG. LV came in at £247 for 8k miles pa. If I add on legal aid and breakdown cover, it totals £383. My renewal including legal and breakdown, with similar excesses is £278.

Just sorted mine and have been with AIB for 6 years. Last year was just shy of £500 with European cover for 120 days and full Euro Recovery and Legal Assistance. Tried Safeguard via Caravan & Motorhome Club which was with AXA. Brought figure down to mid £400's and couple of others slightly more. Went back to AIB and told them AXA was cheaper through the club. After a few minutes they came back with quote using AXA and a much much better policy with even 270 days european cover plus full AA european recovery for less than £400 on monthly payments. Cover is for 4 drivers and 10k mileage. Seems Caravan & Motorhome Club gave a good discount. Covers all sorts of accidents in and outside campervan

£725.00 with Chubb, I think thats brilliant. Chubb are just brilliant, you get what you pay for. 2 years ago my Ranger blew its AutoBox 1,000 miles from home, short of send a helicopter to pick me up, I couldn't believe the service. Taxi to resort, Taxi to pick up car for 2 weeks which I parked for 2 weeks, organised hotels on the way home, organised the Ranger to be transported back to me. phoned me every hour to see if I was ok.

I ain't moving from Chubb, if the Bus misses a heart beat, these guys will sort me
