Can anyone help with the alarm when in ‘camping mode’ on the new 2025 model?
The alarm has gone off on 2 separate occasions whilst camping. We locked the van using the fob and the alarm went off immediately upon movement on the first time. The second time we pressed the fob twice which seemed to work for a few hours…until the van made a beeping noise at 1am and then the alarm went off 10 minutes later when one of us moved. The van made a noise and the dashboard lit up before the alarm went off. Also, the internal door switch at the bottom of the bed does not seem to do anything in camping mode.
Not sure if we are doing something wrong? And also don’t want to upset our fellow campers!!
Thanks

Do you have a Lock button/switch on the Drivers door?
If so, use that when retiring to bed, not the Remote.

If you are in the van you have to use the lock button beside the bed on the side trim of the kitchen, not the fob. Motion remains active when locked with the fob ( or via the VW Connect app). You can disable motion temporarily vai the head unit so you can leave the skylight etc open when you are not in the van. this resets everytime you start the engine. Camping mode does not change the locking functionality, it changes the step to always out and disables the main headlights from coming on when you unlock at night. You also need to unlock with the button beside the bed and not just exit the van via the sliding door as the door will re-lock when closed if not unlocked first.

Does the Drivers door button have the same function?
