There is a reasonable suggestion that electric is good for family vehicle use with hopefully 300 miles range.
But vans and lorries may need something else, perhaps hydrogen.
The infrastructure for electric vehicles is pretty slow to arrive. But it has the obvious head start - I can plug my car into a 3 pin plug at home to charge it. That’s currently what I’m doing to get 130 miles for my BMW i3.
I don’t know if hydrogen infrastructure is easier or more complex than electricity but I think people overlook this major issue. I perhaps naively think the EU and US have thought about and costed this stuff and decided electricity is a good thing.
Can’t we use hydrogen to make the electricity if it’s so easy to produce?
