Is it an Americanism?

So, it looks like globalisation along with colonialism has made life a little more interesting. Just mix and mismatch!

What drives me mad is the use of 'of' instead of 'with'.

EG 'I am fed up OF this', instead of 'WITH this'. Put your own words in.

It first started to bug me when i heard it years ago on tv and radio interviews, I´ve been trying to blank it from my mind.

Reading it was easier to ignore, i would just not read the first
word.

But then last week i got it, both barrels, face to face from 4 different people.
Using ´So` at the beginning of an explanation or sentence.

First off all i lose interest in what is about to be said and then i just look at the person wondering why they think they can use that ´silicon valley jive´on me.

It irritates me so much even my finger nails were angry.
I just need to know if i´m alone with this?

If i get a few yes-es. I´m off to see a shrink.
As opposed to using "literally" at the beginning? Or "at the end of the day" or noun /verb agreement, eg, "we was" and the worst, most sinful, unforgivable: AINT'T.

You're definitely not the only one - I just hate it (and yes - I've got a life - a vey good one too!)

Well, another thing is starting a sentence with ....er WELL.

How about competitors 'battling' with each other when they are RACING each other!

Not as bad as 'like' interspersed randomly in every sentence. Not that, like, really does, like, drive me crazy.

The word "stunning" used in any contex not related to an item that stuns things.

ARRRRGHHHHHHH!!!!
