Hope you both enjoy your new GC's.We have had no real issue's with our 600 although still early days and never forget you mainly hear about problems on the forum's and not the great times had in a great vehicle. My only advice would be don't jump to the conclusion that you have a fault immediatly there is a lot to get used to after a previous camper or vehicle.
We love ours!
Couldnt agree more. We are starting our third year in our 680. Our only minor problem is to reset the red power switch occasionally. We love our van too!!!!

We rented a 600 for a week last October, had the tap issue and pump staying on. But because I have been on this forum since august I knew what to do straight away. Otherwise we had a great time with it and convinced us we had made right move ordering a 680.

With a 680 you will need a spare wheel , hydraulic jack and a wheel mount.
I didn't fancy relying on the puncture kit.
+ 3.8 tons 4 motion .
It's not like you can be easily towed to the nearest ATS .

We’re both pretty practical and I’ve spent loads of time reading this forum over the last year so hopefully we’ll be able to self-fix any early niggles as we get to know the van.

I suppose its time to say a big THANKYOU to all the posters on this forum for helping us learn, and hopefully we can start to return the favour to others.
Hi the only thing extra to recommend is take out any additional warranty you can along with any deals for servicing.
Our van’s 3 year warranty ran out in March and the step decided to die a week after.
The cost for investigating the fault is £99 at the dealer.
Hope all goes well.

Actually that email we got about we connect app might mean something afterall, just got an email this afternoon from volkswagen commercial vehicles - an update on my order, saying build in progress to my exact specification :). Not heard anything from eurovans crawley dealer directly though.
but some like it’s being built
Could this be yours? Just picking up our van Today

I reckon so. I emailed Mike today and he called back a minute later to say the van had literally just arrived on transport and he was given consignment note as I spoke to him.
thank you for the photo of what looks like our baby I appreciate that !
it looks like it is - 4motion, Awning and I think I can see the aircon unit too

hope yours is good ? What colour.
hope to collect next week if it’s ready, looks like it needs a wash already , thought they cover them during the transport

Looks like you have a proper external toilet light switch. Lucky boy.
Congratulations. Have fun.

I hope it is what I’m seeing. I expanded the photo just to the left and up slightly from the control unit.

Enjoyed our first night in the van.

Had a visit from some ‘recognised niggles’ with the van
- error code on the diesel heating - big red switch to the rescue and all working now
- step worked fine until the big red switch. Has now gone AWOL. Will try the red switch again later
- wifi router not working yet - needed the wifi password which is on a sticker on the base of the unit which is bolted under the passenger seat. Manual says there is a card somewhere - guess its in the dealers. After about 20 photos from weird and wonderful angles, and zooming in, got the right photo to get the login code. wifi fine but no network signal. More troubleshooting to come using phone hotspot

And on the question of the bathroom light switch…….

nope (or if there is one we haven’t found it yet). Motion sensor inside puts the light on when you open the door.

Happy to answer any other MY23 questions.

Thanks for the update. Didn’t think the bathroom light switch ever made it in to production.
Sorry to hear about your niggles. If the step doesn’t play ball you’ll need to unplug the blue connector underneath the passenger side footwell. Before you do this though, ensure the red switch is off. Unplug the blue connector for a minute then plug it back in. This resets the “kfg” brain which controls certain things, like the step. Unfortunately the step issue is well known and VW are trying (and failing currently) to fix this. Mines been ok so far in 10 months of ownership.

No light switch, shame perhaps I was just wanting to see it there. Also after turning on the big red switch. Turn on the ignition as I believe this also reactivates the control panel, well it does on mine.

if your not getting wifi signal antenna might be in wrong socket (from memory needs moving to left hand socket), well documented issue on here but would have hoped VW had sorted that by now!!

Just tried that. Mine was in the middle socket, so moved it to the left hand one of the two purple ones. No success. Not sure if its the phone sim that it doesnt like.

have you logged into the router and made sure configuration is ok? My router info card was in the manual wallet its credit card sized and has all the log in info for the admin too.
