As is sit on this grey business park watching the rain drip down the window this is the content I need to see. I cycled across Italy last year from Rimini to Rome and yearn to be back there with my van eating wild boar ragu and drinking the local crisp white watching the swallows. Maybe next year. Back to work...

Italy is such a fantastic place to visit on bicycle (and any other way). I cycled from Lucca to Rome along the Francigena pilgrim route a few years ago and continued (on another trip) from Rome to Brindisi along the southern leg of the same pilgrim route. At the end of this month I'll be starting another bike tour in Italy, the Basilicata from Maratea to Barletta.
