Planning next years holidays and looking at a tour of Italy.
Looking at Amalfi then up the East Coast via Rome and Tuscany to Lake Como.
Any campsite recommendations would be appreciated, particularly for Lake Como where there appears to be little available.
Cheers all

What type of sites do you like M70?
There's this: https://www.campeggioparadiso.it or there are a few along this stretch of road.
We didn't find Como awash with campsites though. We stayed on a little site called Golden Sheep between Gravedona and Donga. Small but we loved it for a few days.

Garda much nicer than Como in my op.

This is a great camp site - http://www.camping-la-secca.com - next to the sea - next to the town Moneglia with some great restaurants -next to the train station which drops you off to each of the Cinqueterra and Portofino

This site - http://www.magiclake.it/ appeared a busy but pleasant spot.

I assume you mean the west coast?

Trumps up for Magic Lake Camping. We spend a couple of nights there in 2016. I can also recommend visiting Island Elba, Camping Enfola - if you can get a pit at the lake (there are only room for 3-5 cars). Also, pay the old town in Lucca a visit. Camping St. Michael is close to both a Lucca and Pisa. And quieter than the campings along the coast.

Cinque Terre and Portofino are nice to pay a visit as well, but very touristic thru the summer.

If you go north after Como, I can recommend the SpllĂĽgen Pass. Its narrow, old and steep, but very picturesque.

Great tips all. I am most likely going from Stelvio through lake Garda and then further on to Cinque Terra for 2018.
Any information about wineyards to visit?
I have found this one for France, but nothing similar in Italy:

Stelvio Hell of a road. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Not sure think there’s about 49 switchbacks on the way up!

Yes it is. We planned on staying here to get to Sinque Terre, but we only visited the first village once and now we are staying in Moneglia. It seems to have it all but tourists.
I will try the restaurant thank you!

We are close to La Spezia now. Any more recommendations between Genua and Rome?
@CALI FATE ?
