Hi Guys
Just making a post to make you aware that as of the 1st of January the 6.1 California Range will be incurring a price increase of 2.4% on vehicle cost and options.
If you were to order before then you would pay the current pricing and you would be price protected against the price increase from January.
Any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me on 01202 713038 or email me at tom.davidson@breezemotorgroup.co.uk

not dear enough yet ?
It only dear enough when customers say NO... that’s not happened yet and VW know it. The only ones to gain are VW and people who already own one a few years old. What other vehicle can you buy and 6 years later you can still get what you paid for it...VW California is the only one.

Not the only vehicle, literally thousands of Classic and ex competition cars have rocketed in value not just held it.
RS Escort with a competition history could equal a new Cali in price. VW T2 comes into that league.

No not classics they always appreciate..I mean new/ modern vehicles.

I know what you mean.

many new cars quoted as being in good depreciation category + 50% over 3 years but with many cars now in the £60K+ range a loss of upwards of £30K is daunting.
Did see an article on the subject with a Maserati as 80% on the worst money losing purchases.
Electric cars don't seem to fare very well either currently (no pun intended)

All very well given the price hike protection but what about the import tariffs if we get a no deal brexit. Will dealerships refund the order deposit if import tariffs are applied? I'm looking to place an order soon but obviously concerned. 10 percent is too much to bear. I would need to go used.

Well you have only a few days before you find out...Doesn’t look very good though...

It was well publicised that if you ordered your new Cali before the 2nd of December (Just gone), it was price protected by VW from any import duty that may result from no-deal Brexit. In relation to the deposit, I'm sure a dealer will agree to refund the deposit if no-deal happens, I was told exactly that by a dealer, prior to VW saying they will cover the import duty for purchases prior to 2nd Dec. We purchased at the end of Nov so we will be protected, thankfully.

It seems that there is a price increase every month.

Caravan club did a test of a BMW 330 diesel estate this month - £56k before any options - makes a Cali look good value.

But how much a month ;)
You have hit the nail on the head. I don't think most people care about the absolute cost of a vehicle because it is just like a mobile phone - monthly cost, change it every few years. Mad.

There sits, in Lookers Godalming, a new GC680 looking for an owner. It’s priced at 88-and-a-bit which is a 9% discount apparently. It has rubber mats in the rather spartan cab. VW have been extracting the wee-wee for years.
