hi, we've just noticed that the seal is leaking at the top of the door when it rains (on our 10 year old Cali), on looking at it, the seal has come away from the door on a 20cm stretch along the top, and the water is then running down to the bottom of the door. Not much, but would still be good to fix. It looks like the previous owner has glued the strip back into place - does this seem worth trying, and does anyone know if superglue would cause the rubber to perish. Any advice gratefully received. Thanks, James

Best solution would obviously be to replace the seal. Cost of the part from here: http://www.justkampers.com/vw-t5-pa...al-inner-offside-right-for-vw-t5-2003-on.html is £63 .
If you were going to try re gluing then my suggestion would be a contact adhesive (such as Evo Stick). Apply a thin layer to both surfaces and leave to dry. Then when you press together it makes a strong bond. You generally dont get a 2nd chance to re-position !

You could carefully use Sikabond AT, but it's such powerful stuff, would really recommend you simply replace the seal with a new one.
