I think this is the final post of the thread. Just checked my charge - 12.3v 70% after 6 days - I think the battery must be fine.Lesson learnt - 1 x full charge each month! Thanks everyone.

Bigger battery seems as a better solution than solar. I was surprised the beach pumps 50-70 amps into leisure battery with running engine. Even running engine for 10 mins will give you a reliable option of hours solar at bright sun, which you don't always have.
My solution for now is extra 2kw lithium battery that I charge from alternator at 20-30 amps which it doesn't even notice consumption wise.
We can stay for days with 2kws powering laptops cameras and even cook and boil in 12v pots.
Might add solar to this setup but don't feel it is really required.

I reckon you could connect that to your starter motor and have the first all electric Cali.
