Life after Easter

I generally hibernate during the Easter period, but this year I am hostessing a wine event for charity in Exeter on Good Friday so I will still be having to endure a little bit of bank holiday traffic.

So, who's off soon after on their travels and where?

My first trip is to France, hopefully the 1st April, Somme to St Quentin and taking in Verdun. Albert this year has mostly been used as a short stay hotel bedroom on wheels so I am really looking forward to getting away for some quality time camping again.

Partly wine buying and partly taking a few photographs of war memorials for one of my talks. I am also having dinner with a television producer / historian on Wednesday who is following up on a series made about the Crimea a couple of years ago and may be wanting to continue with one post Bismarck to WW1 and possibly 2.
