Line Of Duty ..... my head hurts!

Aah, like they do in Death in Paradise.
Now we're talking. Serious edgy, immersive procedural cop drama. And with proper little umbrellas in the drinks. Although there's nothing to compare with Midsomer Murders for gritty realism (or sheer body count, obvs).

............and then the cavalry arrive and shoot Ryan.
Bodie and Doyle (3-7 and 4-5) turn up just in time and shot Ryan. Cowley and Hastings then go to pub for some finest single Malt.

Impressive recall of their call signs. Did they drive a Capri or RS2? Or both?

Capri obviously (3.0, specifically) but I'd have thought RS2 much too late for the series? Doubtless I'm wrong.

[EDIT] Unless you meant RS2000 of course?! In which case yes quite possibly. I seem to remember a Dolly Sprint in there somewhere as well.

Yes it was a 3.0S capri and RS2000 part of one episode was shot a few hundred yards from home & we bunked off school to watch them film it at Batford Ford over the river lee.
This a bit like the other thread about wrecking cars in a ford, this one was only ever passable by tractors & for the filming they put metal plates up on blocks to keep the car above water.

Definitely a droop snoot RS in some episodes.

Always a big fan of them & the Sweeney. (I think its where I learnt to drive) - gratuitous photo of their RS2000 below.

I did mean the RS2000. We always referred to them as RS2's. Lovely motors.

Fords? Me personally, loved the Escort xr3i cabrio - talking Dempsey & Makepeace!

British cop shows from the 60s to the 80s had a great range of British cars. I was going to mention Makepeace's XR3 but BrugseB beat me to it. A shame her partner let the side down by driving a Merc.

One of my favourites was John Steed's Broadspeed Jag XJ12 in The New Avengers. A clever twist/update on his 1929 Bentley 4.5 in the original series.

Sorry about that. Can I be of any comfort mentioning another famous Jag? Was able to buy the complete Morse box last week. Yeah, definitely getting old...

Miami Vice were in a different league with their Ferrari Testosterone and Daytona Spyder.

(I’ve left the auto correct spell correction as I think it’s rather good).
Don't forget the archetype of tanned heroes in shorts: Magnum P.I. !

I was trying to recall what they drove in The Sweeney, without Google.
Ford Grandads was it? Obvs the villains or “shlaags” drove Jags.

LOD do the interrogation scenes so well, this one was 29 minutes long.
Love DS Carmichael’s facial expressions, they’re priceless.
Interesting explanation of these scenes in the podcast this week.
