I decided to wind out the awning for the first time on my new to me 2015 Ocean. On winding out the fabric all the way it’s not taught and I noticed that the two arms are not fully extend as per the photos. I think it’s the Thule Omnistor 5102 model,
Does anyone know how to adjust the arms making them straight which I’m thinking will take up the slack?

You wind the awning back in and the fabric tensions against the arm springs. Just do it enough to get tension in the fabric and not enough for the arms to start to fold.

You need a Tie Down Kit. Guy ropes/straps they go from top of leg to ground peg. Tighten and then wind in awning to tension material. DO NOT over extend the awning so that the folding beams are straight , they should always have a slight fold inwards to aid winding in otherwise they can jam and not fold.
