Loss of power after egr replacement.

Hi all, i recently had the egr and cooler replaced at a Lookers VW dealership on my T5.1 Beach. The engine light had been on for about 6 months and I knew it was an 'egr insufficient flow' code but put off the work due to the cost. Now it has been done I have noticed a reduction in power, especially noticable on hills at about 3.5 to 4k rpm. Initially I ignored it but my wife mentioned it as well and we had not previously discussed the issue. I have read somewhere that the egr code can intitiate the ecu to run rich which possibly could have increased power in part of the rev range?
Anybody had any experience of a similar percieved loss of power?

Nope - just had same work done - no difference spotted anywhere - i dont think it sounds right
