When touring on the continent during Summer we find that the lower sleeping area can get really hot and uncomfortable even with windows open resulting in a poor night sleep.

Has anyone on the forum fitted low power , low noise fans that run off the leisure batteries ?
Was thinking along the lines of the slimline, low noise fans found in computers.
Something small , slim ,unobtrussive and could be fitted rather than a portable unit that has to be stored.

Would be very interested to see what other people may have done.

I seem to remember a member fitting a computer fan in the cupboard door
Near the leisure battery to keep it cool. Maybe it could be done elsewhere.

In the summer we parked with the door facing the river or open land with no people, and slept head forwards , with the door open
It was lovely, like sleeping outside, but with much more luxury.
Doesn't answer you question, sorry

Hey,
We have used usb desk fans for both the upper and lower areas of the cali in south of France, Spain & Italy over the last couple of summer holidays.
Admittedly they're not amazing but found they provide enough movement of air to make it more comfortable and are not too big to store, also they are very quiet and use very little power.
We powered ours from a dual usb charger, 1 fan up top for the kids, 1 fan lower area for us.

Instead of a fan you can get something to lock the rear hatch open by 4 inches. Brandrup do one, and that may be an option rather than a fan? Obviously it would not be good if there were mozzies around...
