Mains Socket Without Charger

Hi,

My original westfalia charger popped a little while ago so I have removed it. Can anyone tell me if the mains socket will still work without the charger in place?

About to order a Frayron (although may wait until the exchange rate improves..).

I’m not sure about your T4 Westfalia, but the T5 onwards California - the mains socket inside will be powered when connected to EHU whether the Mains Charger is connected or not.
I would think your T4 is the same . No harm in just testing.

Normally yes... as its a straight-through connection (so long as you're on mains hook-up)...

It did in mine (2001) when our charger blew mid-holiday and we took it out, the socket still worked on MHU...
