Mattress topper for downstairs bed (again, sorry)

Hi all
I’ve read countless posts on this but my question doesn’t really come up.
Has anyone used the upstairs mattress as a topper downstairs? I know it won’t fit perfectly but does it work and is it comfortable enough? I don’t mind paying for duvalay but I would rather not have another bulky thing to store.

I think I have read some people have done it. I'd be tempted to give it a go - depends on your personal preferences.

Just get a small double mattress topper from dunelm. Sixty squid.

We used a topper that was made to measure for upstairs downstair and it fit OK - it's just a bit wider. Why not just try it!

It’s quite heavy and bulky for moving up and down. I took mine out to put in a zonesleep and then put it back when selling the van. Ot was hard work on my own - wouldn’t want to be doing it every time I used the van - and it doesn’t fold so quite hard to store in the van.

I’ve just been to the Dunelm site and the mattress I’m referring to is £130. For some reason I thought I’d paid £60.
