Hello! First post here
I have 2007 T5 California and yesterday I was about to change both leisure batteries. First, I changed the cupboard battery without any issues and everything was working well after this. Then, I moved to the one under the front seat. However, during this operation the positive battery cable touched the seat support frame resulting in some sparks. This is when I knew I messed up.
After connecting the battery, I tested if the electronics still work. The rear lights nor the control panel do not turn on anymore.
I assume that there's a blown fuse somewhere. However, I visually checked the blade fuses under the front seat, under the dashboard, and under the bonnet by the starter battery. All of them seemed to be fine.
Am I missing something? What should be my next action to triangulate the root cause? Are there any other fuses hidden somewhere that I have not checked?
Luckily the car still starts and moves. I live in Finland where the California has never been sold so I don't think that there are too many repair shops who have experience from these.
Thank you in advance!
