Hi I replaced y n75 valve a couple of months back as i was getting the moo noise on shut off. I`ve recently been noticing on low revs between 1-2k it has a similar sound and is sluggish until above 2k revs, could this be the vacuum pipes needing replaced& if so which ones are they?.
The valve i replaced was a genuine vw part so hoping its ok?.
Any advice would be great thanks

Normally the Tubes to the N75 valve are the cause of the noise, more rarely the valve. VW sell a upgraded tube set.

I had the intermittent Moo sound on shut of on my 204. looked for info on here and You Tube but when looked at Cali there were 3 valves.

1 for each turbo plus an EGR one. From that I would think that the first stage Turbo valve may be faulty. Turbo Valves had a different part number to the EGR one.

I have a vacuum pump kit that I tested the faulty (EGR in my case) valve with and it would "moo" intermittently.

Method was to apply vacuum - quick flash of 12V across contacts when the vacuum should reduce slightly with each flash/touch.

Thanks for your reply, once i changed the n75 valve the moo on shutoff stopped, i dont get this anymore so that solved that. but im hoping to solve this lack of power and noise on lower acceleration?.

Thought was that bi-turbo the smaller turbo gives boost at lower revs then larger one takes over. Might be a turbo related problem. Hope pipes cure it all.

I contacted my local vw parts supplier and they dont know about the upgraded pipes.can you steer me in the right direction as to where i can source them?.

They were upgraded some years back, so they are probably the current version.

Hi just been to my vw parts specialist. They’ve given me this diagram of pipes and prices underlined.
Is this the new pipes required which will help/solve my issues? Thanks

I would think so, as I very much doubt the originals are being produced any longer as they were problematic and supercede.
