Hi yet again - last question for a good while

Logbook states motorhome. From what I can gather this seems to be a good thing ? Am I right? If so - why?
Thanks all

At the moment for the California, having the Motorcaravan designation gives you a wider choice of specialist insurers. At the moment only one has been definitively identified who will insure an MPV as a Campervan (Safeguard).

Having the MPV body type may (or may not) be useful if you want to park in an area with covenants restricting motorhomes.

Things may change in the future.

The change to MPV body type has affected second stage van conversions, which in the future will be taxed based upon their CO2. As the California always has been taxed based upon its CO2 it’s unaffected in this respect.

There may also be differences in tolls and ferry prices for the different designations.
