Multiflex - Improving the versatility

I have been contemplating modifying the multiflex in our 2-seat Beach for some time and have just finished design #01.

My hope was to make something without drilling any holes, but in the end I had to make two holes in the metal base to support the cam-stays. No additional holes were made in the board itself.

It would be good to get opinions on how this could be improved. Here are some pics…

Looks like a great improvement to the fixed one. As this is design #01 there are a few sharp looking edges and screw ends could be covered or rounded. It is a heavy board if it falls. But looks very usefu.
