Mystery socket and G17 location

No specific reason - I was just wondering why is was laying unused. It's not like the Germans to add things just for the fun of it!!

I found the G17. It was hidden behind the battery in the engine compartment and not working as one of the wires was broke. Fixed it, and brought it back to its right place in the bumper. All is working well now :)
G17 should be in the leisure battery compartment.
The one you found in the engine bay is something different?

The one I found is for the temperature in the controlpanel

Think the one in the engine bay is the external temperature sensor for the Central Electronics display. G17 is the temp sensor to control charge rate?

Photos show the water tank still on the right hand side?

Yeah. Heat is frying my grey cells. I was trying work out if there was a difference between the early wardrobe and later (like ours) given they relocated the water tank in the later models.

Indeed it is. Just double-checked sidepod's wiring diagram.

I have come to the conslusion that it must be for the j229

Is seems that it is not installed but just prepared for a later install
