I'm quite happy with my Cali, but I love to see different campervans ... is it worth going to the NEC ?
I can do as a day trip from south london, no overnight stay needed for me.

If you got a day spare, then why not. Usually has some interesting concepts or just a day to go there relax and see what's happening in the space.

We usually do alternate years, so this year is due and if time permits, may drop in for a visit. But she who is always practical - if we are not buying anything then why go - may hatch some other plans.

There is a whole hall of campervans this year apparently
If you want to go you’ll need to book tickets in advance as they are not selling tickets on the door

Failed to get tickets in February, booked last month for October. It’s a good day out.

Lots of additional stalls with all sorts of camping offerings.
Avoid the busy weekends is my advice.
We have tickets for the Thursday.

We missed the February show, bought tickets but then something came up and we gave the tickets to friends. They liked it, seeing different concepts, but couldn’t find much useful to buy. Hopefully this show will be okay - just bought tickets for Tuesday. Hoping to get some compact comfy chairs, and maybe a camping kitchen frame for outdoors.

Frontrunner chairs are the way to go, very comfy and the easiest compact ones I seen.
They take seconds to open.
Don’t know if they will be at show, cost around £80 each.1F4AAC0A-C418-400F-8F4D-95EBACFA75FD.jpegB91E4733-B315-4807-A1C0-AECE4DBB70DA.png

Anyone know of any discount codes for tickets?

We’re popping along. Less for the campers although always interesting for a neb but more for accessories, possible offers and an evening curry!

They are £12 and that includes parking, I think last year when I went to motor cycle live. Entry was £30 and parking was £7
Camper show seems nice and reasonable.
Looking forward to a day out.

Bought tickets awhile back for 19th and 20th to travel down from Northumberland. Thought I had plenty of time ahead of our late June ‘22 Beach Camper order scheduled for next year…until it went into build 5/9 and Saturday gone a video email from Breeze confirming it is at a German port for shipping!! Now Late October collection schedule so looking for some purchases at NEC, first ever visit.

Could I be cheeky and ask the make of your BBQ, and do you rate it? Cheers!
Bbq is a madkon mini, it’s great as it doubles up as a fire pit too. The mini is only for 2people as it’s pretty small, only downside is there’s a knack to emptying the ash and pretty expensive.
They do 3 sizes, loads of posts on here and YouTube.

@4x4 joker , which table is that? Is that one of the bamboo tables? Two fold or four fold? Also, can that one be raised to standing height?

You are all perfectly setup!
Yep, table was from gooutdoors smaller version (can’t see it on their website anymore).
Folds 4, and raises so you can fit chairs under it.
That’s it below2CB391C2-6772-47D2-99C2-B935073B002B.png

It looks ideal - similar in concept to the Ridge Monkey gas fired bbq. I prefer real bbqs though. Currently we’re using a small cheap bbq from a French supermarket - limited life , so the Madkon could be a good replacement option.

I love my Snow Peak bbq/fire pit … any other users on here ?1664951316204.png

About 30% off. Tickets for some days might be in short supply now.

So that was an interesting / expensive experience! We listened to Simon Reeves opening talk / interview - it’s great what you can achieve with no O Levels (good on him - nice bloke). We did swerve buying a new Motorhome. The one that took my better half’s eye had all you’d want, private shower, separate hand basin, nice make up mirror, super king bed(s) x 2, and telly. Apart from the price tag of £670k, you needed an HGV licence, so I put my foot down and said “no”. We did however end up buy another drive away awning, comfy bedding, some chairs and other bits and bobs. Glad we got the CAMC ticket discount, otherwise we might not have afforded to go .

Campervan, but not as you know it ….
