need to charge leisure battery on hook-up?

Is it important to regularly charge up your leisure battery by plugging-in at home, or can I just leave our pottering about to charge them up? I wondered if it helps protect / preserve the battery in some way?

Definitely worth charging regularly. A smart charger will do the best job as it will condition the battery as well. Do a search on the forum as there are already some threads with lots of info.

I thought it was best to pop it on hook up at home say once a month for a day. If anyone knows better do tell...... thanks

Some don't ever top up the batterys with a 24h cyclus charge on hoop-up ,
Others do ,
Some have issues with the batterys and need to change them afther a few years,
Others don't

As everything regarding maintenance (car,bike,house,....)
All personal preferences ,
Do what you think you should do , but use your brains.
