New brochure

Yes, I thought Harry was somewhat more photogenic than I!!!

Though James got in twice :rofl

I was on the list but never got the call :boohoo :boohoo :boohoo

Looking at the new price list our model is up £5 but the rain sensor/dimming mirror now appears to be a standard feature? (was £115). DAB up £25 (and still not available with rns510), new servotronic steering option, clarified that the £1400 leather option is indeed melange.

Looks like new instruments without the small fuel/temp gauges, and relocated 12v outlet on dash on page 14 (assuming this isn't mirror image of lhd dash)

Multi-function steering wheel listed under Leather wheel

Interesting use of a mirror image photo on page 12 !!

I think this is a mirror image - I think..

I am indeed twice... :|

We had instructions on how to take the pics etc - very funny driving round trying to take them :)

Some ace pics - a fair few from the old brochure though.

A beach is yellow is still dead cool!

Strangely the yellow in the brochure is more, well, yellowery (that is now a word). Sunny Yellow is actually a very pale yellow colour - quite retro.

I would love to see a full Cali in it -- :)

I've still not seen a yellow Beach and this is currently Cali country (I've seen LOADS recently!)!

At least they've dropped the comedy "surf" photo. Two guys on a beach looking like they might have been surfing except they have windsurf boards... and no sails. There is a similar pic though with the Beach - a windsurf board, a Beach with no roof bars, no sail. Hmmm...

I love it when the ever so "cool" surf culture that many brands seem to try and grab a piece of goes completely wrong through complete lack of knowledge!

I'll let you know the next time I am down in Cornwall :) and you can have a look at Betty

If you look at brochures from other markets you'll see how airbrushed/photoshopped those pics are - for example some pics of the Beach show it with steel wheels.

And that is a flipped pic - closer inspection reveals a speedo in KPH - unless VW have fitted something seriously high powered :thumb

Had a look over a MY13 California at Citygate this morning whilst they looked over some warranty work on mine (awning, gas hob ignition, broken internal drivers door release)

Only change I spotted was the new shape rear bumper that i'd seen before on a caravelle - dash is as before and not as brochure picture.

Picked up a few copies of the July brochure to torture Harry with in later life

Whats in Vegas, stays in Vegas or is this a different set of photo's ???

I was on the list too and never got the call...boo hoo!!! Maybe a good job, my 12 year old wanted to do a scooter trick at the side of Bertha...especially since she spends most of her time at skate parks!!! An awesome one in particular near Scarborough called 'Hairy Bob's'
- with 'real' surfing just over the road...(another reason for Bertha - when the surf's up, it's a hard choice when you're 12! - lol)

Is it me, but does the beach look light on options when compared to the SE, when actually most of the options on the SE exist on the beach? Seems like they're possibly under selling it, when it's an awesome vehicle. We've had tons of comments, especially on how they think it's a great alternative to the SE with so much more space. I think VW are missing out...

It's because of the limited range of the UK Beach and the way the VW structures it's T5 line up.

It means the VW are almost squeezing the Beach into their UK line up.
