New Cali for me

I bought my Cali Coast back in April, previously having Cali Oceans. 22 plate and absolutely love it, but…..

Various issues, inc the badly designed clips to secure the roof, it catches the sliding cover and unfortunately I have a bit of arthritis in my hands which at times makes it difficult to open/close the securing latch (not a VW issue but still pesky). After various other issues - passenger door, drivers side sliding window, awning, heating and air con all giving problems I spoke with the dealer. They have been brilliant and gave me a very good trade in against a slightly newer (23 plate) Ocean. I get it start of 26

I did consider moving to something like an Adria but I like the Cali size and even on a recent 5 week trip to France / Spain never felt I needed anything bigger.

So this will be my 4th Cali, im obviously hooked. This time though Im hoping for it being a much longer term camper but to create similar great memories of the previous ones.

I was fully expecting your story to end with you saying goodbye to the California for good.

Good on you for sticking with it despite all those issues! That dealer sounds like a gem - not many would offer such a good trade-in deal when you've had so many problems.

It’s brilliant you’ve had a good outcome from your dealer, I suspect one of the few decent ones. I hope you get and enjoy your Ocean soon, a lovely vehicle to drive !
