New T6.1 order delays

For people asking about the extra weight and change from 199 to 204 this is the reason why. I have finally got a 204 caravelle to have a look at and it appears the DPF has been turned 90 degrees and a new cooling module has been installed above it. New turbo and exhaust layout. Plus multiple new sensors.

My Cali Ocean has a confirmed week 9 build week which is this week!!!..does anyone know if you can track its progress through production or is the next notification stage when it is on its way to the departure port. Are VW chat able to give that info ??

I don't think you can, I just got stage 'In build' and then 'in transit to port of exit'

Well if you can get a “in build” notification it’s an indication it’s going down the production line and better than just a confirmed build date. Did you get that from VW chat

Sorry J&A i worded that one wrong :oops: it just stays status 20 (Factory ordered production week confirmed) until it leaves the factory..

I think we’ve done ok and been lucky in the grand scheme of things. We ordered our Coast in November and it’s been sitting at Listers for the last couple of weeks. Only 3 months or so from ordering to landing at the dealer. We chose to wait for March registration and it’s being delivered to us this Thursday. My only slight disappointment is that it will be driven to us and we’d have preferred to have collected it, and as we’re in Cornwall that means our new van will have a few hundred miles on it straight away. Listers have been very helpful over the last couple of weeks though. Very excited for Thursday!

I am really pleased to hear things are moving, I live in a village in Lincolnshire and had to visit my dentist in Grimsby today, my journey takes me on the main road past the docks and there are rows and rows of VW vans many of which look as if they are California’s....I couldn’t stop otherwise I would have taken a picture to post here.......but they looked as if there were loads there....I didn’t spot a Bayleaf Green one though so mine hasn’t arrived yet..lol

Looks great what a birthday pressie....same colour as my order first full Bayleaf Green Cali I have seem, hopefully my 204 ...4 motion is zinging it down the production line this week.....have great fun....love to see a couple more pics to raise the excitement even more !,....some people seem to be having probs getting insurance who provided yours if you don’t mind me asking

Can I just ask, did you get an option on delivery date/day and time from Listers? Ie. Was there a weekend option or afternoon rather than morning?
 
Salesperson that I ordered through is back from 4 months furlough this week, updated that my Coast is now status 7 (final QC) and should be released anytime. Should be here with me inside 5-6 weeks.

Ordered at start of November.
