Hi
First rodeo on a Campervan (Cali T7), 3 adults and a dog. We stayed 3 days in a fully service campsite.
Packing was really easy, there is loads of space in the cupboards and the space above and below the folded mattress (we didn’t need all the space in the cupboards). I tried to have the space at the back as smallest possible by pushing backseats back as far as possible.
Filling the water tank with the attachment was straightforward and the van came with a brand new gas cylinder attached to the kitchen unit.
Driving was very nice on these comfy captain seats, the diesel engine is a bit noisy but once on the motorway, it doesn’t bother you. Standard potholes shakes the bones so if I am buying one, I am considering the getting the DCC option (only comes on the Coast trim), would love some advice from exprets if this would make it any different?
Motorway drive is lovely, the travel assist function works really well and makes it the drive very easy. Music and surround system are of a really good quality (very impressive).
We loved the versatility of the tables setup, we tried all options and they seem to have put a lot of thought into the design. We cooked inside, outside and BBQed all worked great.
Took me a bit to workout how to turn the air heater on, but the van was very cosy when it was windy with 4 degrees outside. The seating + lights were cosy and table setup was perfect for cards and board games.
Setting up the bed, again very straightforward, a bit of squeeze to move the chairs forward and reposition the bags underneath but was not a problem. The downstairs bed was a bit on stiff side but the space was big enough for two adults (obviously not your king-size bed). My wife would bring a self inflating camping mattress to put on top, next time. Upstairs mattress was quite comfy but colder when windy.
We really enjoyed the experience and definitely will be considering own one in the future.
If you have any questions let me know
