New van at last

Collected our new van from Listers in Droitwich on Monday. It was just about a year exactly from order. The van was ready over a week ago but I was unable to collect until now. Great handover from the guys and Gerry was kind enough to collect us from the station. Took a few days to get home via go outdoors, campervanbits and IKEA. Spent the first night in the Peak District then headed to Lake District where we woke to a flat tyre! Got that repaired and headed to Loch Lomond and got home on Thursday. The van performed flawlessly - us perhaps less so! Rain every night but we slept well upstairs for the 3 nights. Apart from the flat tyre, we had a new electric heater which blew after 2 minutes (got it swapped the next day), the handbrake release button disappeared but it was the plastic sleeve which had moved so I fixed that today and the side window got stuck. One of the release buttons got jammed and the window would not move. Managed to free it off the next day-I think it had jammed slightly squint.
Pictures are from Wallace Lane farm which was an excellent campsite.
By the last day we were getting pretty good at setting up and breaking down.

Thanks. It took me longer to make up my mind to order it! I am looking forward to getting more remorse hills done in comfort as well as trips away.

Hi Scott,
My van is due into the same dealership you used in the next week or so. I ordered in August 21. May I ask if you payed the same price you agreed at the time of order. Sorry if this sounds rude. Thanks Andy

Hi Andy
No problem. Pleasant surprise that all the finance was as agreed initially. Increase was never mentioned. I got 2 free services and added the 5 year warranty. The only issue we had was that some bits had been removed-ashtray and rubbish bin. The guys are having to send the bin out to us.

Wow, it's all happening this week from the Droitwich dealership - our Beach is being delivered on Thursday from there too! We were super surprised when we got a phone call about 3 weeks ago to let us know the van we ordered in July of this year was on its way over on the boat! We were initially told to expect a 12 month wait.

I called them yesterday and it was mentioned that some vans are having price increases put on them and I’ll have to wait and see if this is the case for me. This was news to me! Anyway sure it will be ok, glad your mostly happy with your van I’m sure all easily resolved. Thanks Again

Wished they would have given me 9% off at Droitwich as it’s only 23 minutes drive from my house. But awesome that you have your California now, and excellent stays.
We are hoping to stay in Matlock first week in December for a night !
And then Lakes in Feb.

Lakes in February should be fantastic. Hopefully you get some snow. The discount was the reason we travelled. The dealer up here just wasn’t interested.

That's the normal discount that you would get through Autoebid who use Droitwich

Tried AutoeBid and they were only offering 5% in July, thats why I had to use DTD as they gave me 9%

Then you get it and buy more gear! We took a few days coming home after collection so it was GoOutdoors, campervanbitz, supermarket and IKEA to get the bits and pieces we needed to stay in the van. One issue was how to get the gas but ordered from Chorley gas and they delivered to the dealership.
