Newbie button question

Hoping someone can help after searching and coming up empty….could someone tell me what this button does?! Thanks

Have to confess our 21 Ocean does not have one of those (or if there is never noticed it!) but looking at the picture I’m going to take a wild guess of childlock. So I wonder if it stops the rear door being opened from the inside.

*edit - well I never - I do have this button and it does exactly what it says on the tin. Another day. Another new button.

Isn’t it a child safety lock? To prevent the rear door from sliding open when you have kids in the back.

Child lock for Sliding door. Prevents it opening using internal release handle. Can only be opened from outside when engaged.

Just remember to turn it off if you get in the back of the van to make a brew and shut the sliding door. Don't ask how I know this!

As others said, child lock for the sliding door.
Don't rely on the yellow light in the switch signaling that the lock is active. The lock can be active even when the light is off.
The switch sitting (very) slightly lower than the surrounding plastic is a more reliable indication.
If you do get 'trapped', open the cab door and reach around to open the sliding door from the outside.
