Nippy Landrover 110

I know there are a few Landrover lovers among the crowds here so I thought you may like to see something that amazed me today. Taken at the NSRA event at Avon Park today - this LR was running an 11 sec qtr!

That's not actually a 110 though; they came out when the Defender was released.

Looks more like it's based on a 109.

The 90 and 110 were released before the Defender name was added.

I always wanted to put a V8 in my Defender 90 but the chassis decided it wanted to rot so I got rid of it. Shame.

Oh yes, they came out seven years before the Defender. I was half right!

I sooo nearly got a V8 40th Anniversary model but chickened out - epic noise but they aren't great for wading and the power is pretty lame for such massive thirst. The missus parents had a V8 110; you could pretty much see the fuel gauge dropping especially when towing.

Now a V8 Bowler - that would be nice!

My wife has a Supercharged Range Rover that does something similar with the fuel gauge :lol:

Out of all the cars we have the Caterham is the most fuel efficient!
